Finance Minister Nicola Willis has defended a four percent funding increase for GPs

Finance Minister Nicola Willis has defended a four percent funding increase for GPs

A survey by the General Practice Owners Association has 83 percent of respondents are worried about their long-term viability.

Eighty-nine percent of them recently increased fees or were about to.

Willis says the four percent increase to core funding is above what inflation is now at.

She says we need to think differently.

Willis says we need to look for new ways of using technology, new techniques and talk to doctors about what they think is needed to free up more of their time.
