A timely opportunity for Liam Lawson to reinforce his Formula One credentials

A timely opportunity for Liam Lawson to reinforce his Formula One credentials

In the wake of the Italian Grand Prix he's completed more than 100 laps of the Monza circuit in this year's Red Bull car.

He'll do the same overnight tonight for sister team Racing Bulls.

The drives form part of next season's testing for tyre-maker Pirelli.

Lawson is expected to carry out such duties as the team's reserve driver, but the time in the cockpit is helpful when the team are under pressure to finalise his future.

The middle of this month is reportedly the contractual deadline for Red Bull to guarantee him a seat - or risk his skills departing elsewhere.
