Two people have been arrested, after a chaotic chase through Wellington this morning just after nine

The pair fled from Police at Athol Crescent carpark, ramming into a parked patrol car and driving towards the officers.

Their car was then spiked heading south from Upper Hutt towards the Haywards, leaving that car on Flightys Road.

Next, the duo stole a car and drove north on Transmission Gully, before being spiked on the Paekakariki State Highway 59 intersection and crashing into the centre barrier.

That led to Police arresting the 40-year-old man and 43-year-old woman.
