A Counties Manukau police officer has pleaded guilty to charges after falsifying bail breaches

He admitted there were more than 10 instances where he recorded a person as breaching bail without physically checking the address.
It was found he once altered his notebook to record a breach, and used it as evidence in court.
The Independent Police Conduct Authority pushed Police to further investigate the man in 2020 - after they initially came up short of evidence.
He pleaded guilty to fabricating evidence and attempting to pervert the course of justice in April this year, and resigned the following month.
