A rugby union civil war has broken out across the Tasman

A rugby union civil war has broken out across the Tasman

The Melbourne Rebels have slapped Rugby Australia with a 30 million dollar lawsuit after the Super Rugby franchise was disbanded last year due to financial collapse.

The Rebels claim the governing body provided preferential support to the Waratahs and Brumbies and breached various sections of the Corporations Act.

They've also cited unauthorized spending by RA at last year's World Cup.
