    Seven youths are in Police custody after a pursuit in east Auckland overnight


    Police noted a stolen vehicle in Panmure just before 2:30, which took off at speed.

    It was stopped by spikes on Ti Rakau Drive, and its occupants were arrested trying to escape into bush.

    The stolen vehicle was returned to its owner in Weymouth.
