Christopher Luxon's hinting a decision about Wellington City Council is imminent

Christopher Luxon's hinting a decision about Wellington City Council is imminent

He says Local Government Minister Simeon Brown is considering official advice about the possibility of Government intervention, following the council's decision not to sell its stake in Wellington Airport.

Tory Whanau has suggested filling the resulting budget hole with cuts to infrastructure and community building projects.

The Prime Minister says the council needs to manage its balance sheet.

He says it's obvious there's some dysfunction and a big gap with respect to the Long Term Plan.
