    A section of road in Hokitika has been re-named, in honour of former Westland Mayor Bruce Smith


    Smith died last month, after a long battle with ill health.

    The council has formally approved a proposal to rename the Beach Street - Gibson Quay intersection to the tip of Sunset Point, as Bruce Smith Drive
