Police are working with international authorities to return the body of a woman - found in a bag in Auckland's Gulf Harbour - to her family in China

Police are working with international authorities to return the body of a woman - found in a bag in Auckland's Gulf Harbour - to her family in China

Seven months on from when she was found, Police have identified the woman as 70-year-old Shulai Wang .

She'd come to New Zealand from China in August last year - and has no family here.

    Wang hadn't been reported missing.

Acting Detective Inspector Tim Williams says extensive enquires have been carried out to identify her.

He says detectives recently travelled to China to assist with this process.

A man and a woman, both aged 37, have been charged with interfering with human remains.
