Wellington Phoenix women's captain Annalie Longo believes they have the squad to play A-League finals football for the first time in their history

Wellington open the season against Western United in Melbourne on Friday.

Longo believes the overseas players signed for this season - such as American Maya McCutcheon and Japanese winger Mebae Tanaka - have added flair to the squad...and they now possess a unique balance.
