Praise for the way police handled yesterday's large gang funeral

Hundreds of patched Mongrel Mob members turned out for the tangi, with a procession from Hutt Valley to Porirua.

There were reports of disorder, including blocked streets, banging on cars, and barking.

But Police Minister Mark Mitchell says Police are following up on the bad behaviour, but says they did an excellent job of controlling the crowd.
