Otahuhu locals are being warned to stay inside and close their windows while fire crews battle a factory fire in the Auckland suburb

The blaze, at a 30-by-12 metre building on McGee Street, was reported around 3:20 this afternoon.

15 trucks and two support vehicles are attending.

Trains have been stopped between Otahuhu and Middlemore due to the fire's close proximity to the railway tracks.
