Philip Polkinghorne's no longer a member of an exclusive club in Auckland

Philip Polkinghorne's no longer a member of an exclusive club in Auckland

Members of the Northern Club were calling for the former eye surgeon - who has been a member since 1993 - to be blackballed last month.

An inside source who doesn't want to be named, has confirmed his name is no longer on the club's official list of members.

They say they're not sure if he resigned, or got kicked out.

Polkinghorne was sentenced to 150 hours community service for a methamphetamine charge on Friday, and earlier acquitted of his wife's murder at a jury trial.
