A hope plans to streamline medicines regulation processes - can also be applied to funding

The Government's celebrating Medsafe's annual data to June - showing speedier medicines evaluations than the year before.

It's proposing a new verification pathway - to approve medicines within 30 days of approval by at least two recognised overseas agencies.

Patient Voice Aotearoa chair Malcolm Mulholland says we could easily do the same for Pharmac.

He says speeding up Medsafe's processes has little to no bearing on how quickly a drug is funded.
