The local MP says his heart goes out to those affected by a fatal crash between a train and car in Hamilton

Three people died and two others are seriously injured, after a freight train and a car crashed on the Peachgrove Road crossing, early yesterday morning.

The lights, bells and barrier arms at the crossing were all working.

Hamilton East MP Ryan Hamilton says it's a tragedy for their community and is feeling for those who responded.
