Black Caps great Tim Southee says the recent 3-nil series sweep of India is right up there in terms of his career test achievements

Black Caps great Tim Southee says the recent 3-nil series sweep of India is right up there in terms of his career test achievements

Southee's announced he'll retire from the longest form of the game following the home England series, but will remain available if New Zealand qualify for the World Test Championship final.

The 35-year-old has taken 385 wickets - second only to Sir Richard Hadlee's 431 for this country.

All Whites coach Darren Bazeley admits he's got a selection juggling act on his hands, ahead of tonight's football World Cup qualifier against Vanuatu in Hamilton.

A number of his players have travelled from Europe for the international window, including star Premier League forward Chris Wood.

Bazeley says he will take player welfare into account, but everyone's putting their hands up to be picked and to play.
