A 20-year-old's facing court, accused of scamming three elderly victims out of more than 200-thousand dollars

Police arrested the man in Auckland's New Lynn this morning after a month-long investigation of fraudulent emails.

Detective Senior Sergeant Ryan Bunting says the suspect told victims to call a number, pretending to be their bank.

The man's appearing in Waitakere District Court today on multiple charges of dishonestly obtaining documents, and not carrying out computer search obligations.
