The change in US Presidents will likely be felt in New Zealand's agricultural trade

The change in US Presidents will likely be felt in New Zealand's agricultural trade

A Rabobank report is highlighting possible implications of the incoming Trump administration.

It suggests the returning President's approach could shift export demand and global trade partnerships.

Senior analyst, Emma Higgins, says it could also push up costs for US consumers and businesses.

She says it could cause higher inflation, changes to consumer behaviour -- and alter future trade dynamics.
