Comedian Kabir "Kabeezy" Singh has died aged 39

The star, who was a semi-finalist on season 16 of 'America's Got Talent', passed away on Wednesday (04.12.24), law enforcement sources told TMZ

A cause of death has not been revealed, with authorities said to be waiting on toxicology results before confirming how Kabir passed away.

Other sources have told the publication that Kabir was in the San Francisco Bay Area when he died.

Kabir - who also wrote for 'Family Guy', and previously featured on Comedy Central and BBC News - was performing comedy shows in the US last month.

Fellow comedian Mario Salazar admitted the comedy world is "in mourning" following Kabir's death, and insisted he was "loved by everyone".

He wrote on X: "Kabir Singh was a beautiful human being. We talked every once in a while and he would tell me how talented I was which meant a lot cause he was soooo funny. The comedy world is mourning. He was loved by everyone. I got to see him and perform with him last month in his home club Tommy T's. Never thought our goodbye would be our last goodbye. Love you Buddy. Rest now (sic)"

Comic and film director Dante was left "in shock" by the news of Kabir's passing.

He wrote on X: "Rest in power Kabir Singh. Im in shock. He was so talented and funny. (sic)"

Stand-up comedian and director Chris Mitri has remembered Kabir as a "force to be reckoned with".

He wrote on Instagram: "Kabir, you were a guiding light to all Bay Area comics, showing us that if you work hard enough your talent will shine through. From your stand up, to writing on Family Guy, to working with the Lonely Island on "Never Stop, Stopping," you were a force to be reckoned with. You were funny even when you weren't trying to be and gave solid, memorable advice to those who asked. You will be greatly missed. RIP (sic)"
