There's a feeling of normality in the Construction sector, with building costs increasing at the slowest pace in a decade -- and below the inflation rate

The QV Cost Builder Index reveals the cost rose just 1.5 percent in the year to November.

That's down from 5.6, 11.3 and 18.9-percent increases in the three preceding years.

Spokesperson Simon Peterson says it's mainly due to inflation easing.

He says demand is also weakening which isn't good, but does make it easier on supply.
