Taylor Swift visited a children's hospital on Thursday (12.12.24)

The 'Shake It Off' hitmaker - who celebrates her 35th birthday on Friday (13.12.24) - surprised staff and patients at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, where she happily posed for photos and handed out gifts

One of the hospital's nurses shared a photo of Taylor smiling with the staff and captioned her Instagram post: "TAYLOR SWIFT WAS IN THE PROCEDURAL SEDATION UNIT [red exclamation marks] Best day ever!!! (sic)"

And a woman named Anita Belt shared a post on Facebook of the 'Cruel Summer' singer visiting a patient named Rylie and giving the youngster a signed copy of her 'Eras Tour' book.

Anita wrote: Thank you Taylor Swift for bringing some joy to Rylie today!! Great way to bring a smile and make a memory!"

In another photo, Taylor smiled with a patient and held up a blanket that said, "Go Taylor's Boyfriend", a refence to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

According to People magazine, Taylor spoke to another youngster about Travis as she signed a copy of her book.

The patient told the singer: "I like Travis now."

She replied: "Yes, me too. That's an absolute yes on that one. Is he your favourite player?"

The patient named Travis and the team's quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, to which the 'Look What You Made Me Do' singer replied: "Good. These are good answers. You are acing this."

Another woman, Melissa Nuzum, took to Facebook to share a photo of Taylor with a patient named Baylee, praising the star for offering the young fan the "coolest, most unexpected surprise ever".

She added: "TAYLOR SWIFT came to visit [in-patient] children today and Baylee was chosen since she requests Taylor songs during her uncomfortable procedures.

"Ya'll she is amazing! On top of her sheer beauty she was just as kind and personable and down to earth. She gave Baylee a signed copy of her Eras Tour book and accepted a gift from Baylee ( a diamond art picture) as well

"I cried because it's wonderful to see my girl smile so much knowing the pain she's been in."

Taylor also filmed a TikTok to her song 'Bad Blood' during the visit, which was posted along with the caption: "Boy ain't no way I [just] woke up and tripped out with Taylor Swift."

Another video shared to the platform saw hospital staff wish their surprise visitor a happy birthday as she said goodbye.
