Jamie Foxx is feeling "too blessed to be stressed" after an apparent bust-up at his birthday dinner which left him needing stitches

The 57-year-old actor was reportedly hit in the face by a glass which was thrown at him during a meal at the Mr Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, on Friday (13.12.24) and he's now said to be recovering after heading to hospital to treat his injuries - and Jamie has now seemingly addressed the incident in a post on Instagram

He shared the words: "The devil is busy ... but I'm too blessed to be stressed," and added in the caption: "The devil is a lie. Can't win here ... Thank you to everybody that pray and check on me ... When your light is shining bright ... They try to bring you darkness ... But they don't know that you're built for it ...

"The lights have been shining bright ... "

Jamie went on to thank all his fans for watching his new Netflix special 'Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was ...' during which he addressed the mystery illness that left him hospitalised last year - revealing he suffered a "brain bleed that led to a stroke".

In the Instagram post, he added: "And huge thank yous to everyone that have watched and been inspired by 'What Had Happened Was' ... Number 1 on @netflix if you haven't checked it out please go check it out it's from my heart and my soul ... "

After the restaurant incident, a spokesperson for the 'Ray' actor told People that Jamie was struck with a glass during the birthday celebration.

They said: "Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth. "

"He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement's hands."

TMZ.com reported cops were called to the restaurant around 10 p.m. local time regarding an alleged fight inside, and added that Jamie was involved and was not there by the time officers arrived.

The actor had attended the gathering with his daughters Corinne and Anelise, as well as ex Kristin Grannis, according to the Daily Mail.
