A social media post has led to the arrest of several gang members for allegedly breaching the gang patch ban

Police say an image posted showing King Cobra gang members outside the Auckland High Court in late November prompted the investigation.

They say half a dozen warrants were executed across Auckland and Waikato this morning, leading to the arrests of six men.

They're aged between 28 and 58 and being charged with the prohibited display of a gang patch.

Police say six King Cobra patches, two firearms, and drugs have also been seized.
