    A 44-year-old man is expected in court following a 24 hour standoff with police in Blenheim


    Police were negotiating with an armed man who allegedly took a baby hostage at a house on Park Terrace on Friday night - he was arrested the next day.

    The baby was not hurt.

    The man faces numerous charges including threatening to kill and is due to appear in the Blenheim District Court today.
