Police are adamant someone knows who is responsible for a serious assault in Hamilton, described as cowardly

A 72 year old man was allegedly attacked outside his Sefton Crescent home in the early hours of the morning on Sunday December 22.

The man is still in Waikato Hospital.

Senior Sergeant Scott Neilson says an older member of the community was assaulted by an unknown person, or group.

He says people should do the right thing and come forward, to provide information.
