Police are expected to provide more details this morning, about the reported death of a child in Hamilton

Police are expected to provide more details this morning, about the reported death of a child in Hamilton

Our newsroom understands a young child was killed, and a woman and at least one other child were injured, during an incident, early yesterday morning, on Fairfield's Douglas Crescent.

Police say a 34-year-old man is under police guard in hospital and will face charges in due course.

Local councillor Tim Macindoe says the whole community is deeply shocked, and describes the situation as unbearably sad.
