New Zealand have an unassailable 2-nil lead in the three-match one-day international cricket series against Sri Lanka

New Zealand have an unassailable 2-nil lead in the three-match one-day international cricket series against Sri Lanka

They've won the second fixture by 113 runs at Hamilton with a game to play in Auckland on Saturday.

Half-centuries from Rachin Ravindra and Mark Chapman in a 112-run second-wicket stand were key in the hosts' 255 for nine after rain reduced the match to 37-overs-a-side.

The visitors slumped to 22 for four inside five overs and were bundled out for 142.

Will O'Rourke returned figures of three for 31 from 6.2 overs as part of the build-up to the Champions Trophy in Pakistan next month.

He's revealed he already has pedigree at global events, at least in the stands, thanks to a keen Dad.

Speaking of which, Martin Guptill, a match-winner during that period, has officially retired from internationals - he last played for the Black Caps in 2022.
