    An investigation is being launched after a suspicious early morning fire in Hawke's Bay


    Firefighters responded to calls of an empty house ablaze on Geddis Avenue in Maraenui at about 4:30am.

    Fire and Emergency New Zealand says it was put out before 7am and no one was injured.

    Police say they're assisting at the scene today.
