A total 553 state housing tenants have been warned their behaviour was putting their tenancy at risk, over 2024

A total 553 state housing tenants have been warned their behaviour was putting their tenancy at risk, over 2024

Only 41 notices were issued over the same period in 2023.

The Government asked a crackdown on unruly Kainga Ora tenants.

Housing Minister Chris Bishop says there are long state house wait-lists - and people who get one, must follow the rules.

He says if tenants simply treat people how they'd like to be treated, they don't need to worry about losing their house.
