Concern for the health of Auckland FC skipper Hiroki Sakai after he suffered a blow to the head in their upset 1-nil loss to Perth in football's A-League

Concern for the health of Auckland FC skipper Hiroki Sakai after he suffered a blow to the head in their upset 1-nil loss to Perth in football's A-League

The Japanese defender lay motionless on the ground after copping a powerful shot on goal to the temple.

While he eventually got to his feet - Sakai looked wobbly as he was helped from the field.

There were also issues when it came to the Black Knights performance - as coach Steve Corica outlines.

Auckland have slipped to third on the ladder - one point adrift of Melbourne City and Adelaide.
