Auckland Transport's putting on extra bus services - as more Aucklanders return to work

Auckland Transport's putting on extra bus services - as more Aucklanders return to work

The city's rail network fully shut down late last month - for KiwiRail to carry out critical upgrades in preparation for the City Rail Link to open in 2026.

It'll partially re-open on January 28, and all services will be fully operational again on February 3.

KiwiRail Chief Infrastructure Officer Andre Lovatt says while there'll be no trains, express rail buses on the Eastern, Southern and Western Lines are running.

He says every train service that's cancelled during this period, will have a bus replacement.
