A call for gun reform to make it easier for law-abiding people to get a license

A call for gun reform to make it easier for law-abiding people to get a license

People are being asked to give feedback on changes to the Arms Act - with consultation open today through February.

Coalition of Licensed Firearms Owners spokesperson Hugh Devereux-Mack says changes to licensing could cut down the numbers of un-registered criminals using guns.

He says the current process has led to some legitimate owners going unlicensed.
