A 31-year-old man has been arrested, for allegedly stealing medical equipment from an air ambulance helicopter

Life saving items -- including drugs -- were taken from the Queenstown rescue helicopter at Taieri Airfield early on Sunday morning.

Helicopters Otago CEO Graeme Gale had offered to provide a 10-thousand dollar reward for any information relating to the burglary.

Police say a search warrant was executed at a Dunedin address, and the man was arrested at the scene.

He's alleged to have been involved in two other burglaries - and is due to appear in court today.
