An expectation the number of students failing NCEA, will continue to fall this year

An expectation the number of students failing NCEA, will continue to fall this year

New figures out today show just 70-percent of participants achieved level one last year, a 12 percent drop from 2023.

Results for other levels remain steady -- with 73-percent passing Level 2 and 68-percent passing Level 3.

Education Minister Erica Stanford says there's a similar problem with levels 2 and 3- but it's just hidden.

She says they don't have to get the co-requisite requirements, which is why they've stayed the same.
