    Former All Blacks captain Sir Wayne Shelford believes the haka isn't the time to make political statements


    The legendary number eight's comments come after the Herald revealed members of the All Blacks felt blindsided by TJ Perenara prior to last November's test against Italy, as the halfback called out the Treaty Principles Bill currently before Parliament.

    Sir Buck feels talking to political figures personally would make a bigger impact.
