The Te Huia train will begin calling into Pukekohe Station from Monday

The Te Huia train will begin calling into Pukekohe Station from Monday

It'll connect the Waikato passenger rail service to the Auckland Transport network and allow for direct travel into central Auckland.

As part of the change, it'll no longer stop at Papakura Station, with the final stop planned for today at around 6.20pm.

The train's patronage has been increasing -- over the first 10 months of last year it carried almost 74-thousand passengers - compared with 58-thousand over the same period in 2023.
