Police have recovered a homemade taser - after a pursuit in South Auckland yesterday

A driver ignored a signal to stop on Great South Road and continued towards Papakura - and the vehicle was later found in Takanini.

The driver was taken into custody, and a vehicle search turned up the taser, and ammunition.

The 29-year-old will appear in court next Thursday on weapons and drugs charges.
