South Sydney's expecting to be without captain Cameron Murray for at least several months after he suffered a suspected ruptured achilles tendon

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

Rabbitohs officials are awaiting scan results from the injury suffered this morning but the New South Wales lock is likely to be sidelined for most of the season.

To compound matters, fullback Latrell Mitchell has a hamstring issue and could miss the start of the season - he is also going for scans.

Mitchell has had hamstring issues in the past, including through the Rabbitohs' horror capitulation during the second half of the 2023 season.
