    Two people have been arrested - after two aggravated robberies in east Waikato


    Four people armed with a machete, a metal pole and a crowbar assaulted an employee and took cash and cigarettes from a premise on Tararu Road on Friday morning.

    Four people threatened an employee and took cigarettes, tobacco, and vapes from a premises on Kerepehi Town Road yesterday.

    A 17-year-old has been arrested during a search warrant in Thames today - they're due to appear in Hamilton Youth Court tomorrow.

    A 20-year-old man was also located and arrested on unrelated warrants.

    Police continue to investigate the robberies.
