A three-and-a-half million dollar annual funding boost - to reduce disparities in access to Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services

A three-and-a-half million dollar annual funding boost - to reduce disparities in access to Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services

Mental Health Minister Matt Doocey says it will be shared across Counties Manukau, Waitemata and Tairawhiti - as investment in these regions has been lower than in others.

Counties Manukau plans to establish a clinical team supporting children with moderate to severe needs.

Meanwhile, Waitemata's funding more clinicians specialising in neuro-developmental issues, and Tairawhiti's hoping to expand its Hospital and Specialist Services.
