A Sam-squared 1500 metre finish at the track and field national championships hasn't come as a complete surprise to the man who coaches both runners

Olympian Sam Tanner and 15 year old Sam Ruthe ran a dead heat - recording identical times of three minutes 44.31 seconds.

It's Ruthe's second senior national title - after his 3k triumph last month.

Craig Kirkwood says Ruthe comes from great stock.
