The White Ferns have made 137 for two, batting first against Australia, in today's Twenty20 cricket series-opener at Eden Park

The New Zealand women were going for eight runs an over before Suzie Bates was caught behind in the fourth over for 14 ... Georgia Plimmer then departing for 27, four overs later.

With the hosts 47 for two, Amelia Kerr came in and finished with an unbeaten half century, the allrounder making 51 not out ... the also-returning Sophie Devine made 39 not out.

Some poor fielding didn't help the Aussies, who are chasing almost seven runs an over ... big-hitting allrounder Tahlia McGrath also copped a bloody finger off a Devine return ball, and went off injured.
