Toni Collette says meditation has changed her life

The 52-year-old actress has taken up the mindfulness practice and it has given her a daily grounding

    She said: "I meditate. It's been life-changing.

"Meditation centres me. I find it makes every day so much better.

"I live in that space now and it's much easier."

Toni has two children, Sage, 17, and Arlo, 13, with ex-husband Dave Galafassi, and just as she has learned so much from meditative practices, she learns a lot from her kids.

In an interview with Britain's HELLO! magazine, she explained: "I learn from them. I named by daughter Sage because I felt as though she was already teaching me in the womb and she has continued to do that."

Toni's latest movie is 'Mickey 17' and she accepted a part in the sci-fi film without reading a script.

She stars as Ylfa, the wife of Mark Ruffalo's failed politician character Kenneth Marshall, and Toni jumped at the chance to work with director Bong Joon-ho.

On not reading the script, she said: "It's something I've never done before.

"I still can't believe Bong asked me to come on this adventure with him ... I adore him as a human and as a storyteller.

"He is so inspirational, generous and compassionate and wonderful to be around."

And Toni had an "incredible" experience filming with Mark.

She said: "Ylfa is deliciously horrible and nasty - half of a nightmare couple.

"Ylfa and Kenneth are so much fun, because as weird as they are, they're also completely in love. They can't keep their hands off each other.

"[The chemistry] was there from the beginning. I've been a fan of Mark's forever, so to build this couple together was incredible."
