An annual Anzac Day test between the All Black and Wallabies is reportedly off the table for the foreseeable future

An annual Anzac Day test between the All Black and Wallabies is reportedly off the table for the foreseeable future

New Zealand Rugby chief executive Mark Robinson's told the Sydney Morning Herald they've decided the idea put forward by Rugby Australia isn't currently viable.

It comes despite Robinson saying six months ago that the Anzac match could be a "real tradition" and "massive day in both countries".

But the concept would require All Black and Wallabies to take a two-week break during Super Rugby - and the NZR boss has now said it doesn't stack up after their conversations with Kiwi Super Rugby clubs, the Players Association and other partners.
