The Prime Minister says staying in the Paris Climate Accord is in the country's best interests

The Prime Minister says staying in the Paris Climate Accord is in the country's best interests

National's coalition partners -- Act and New Zealand First -- want us to follow America's lead, and pull out.

But, Chris Luxon says they aren't punishing farmers, and want agriculture to grow.

He says farmers tell him competing dairy countries and multi-national companies would ,make New Zealand's exit an excuse, to remove Kiwi products from their shelves.

Luxon says opting to remain part of the Accord is "brutally' New Zealand acting to protect itself.
