    Internet and phone services in Otago and Southland have been disrupted - first by animals, then a human whoopsie


    One New Zealand says rodents chewed through a cable near Dunedin, and a contractor cut the secondary cable between Gore and Balclutha.

    Services are returning - with engineers repairing the first cable, and working to fix the second.
