    Mark Mitchell is urging Police recruits who graduated without a swim test - to get back to the pool


    149 officers didn't undertake a swimming assessment - because of an outbreak of a gastro bug linked to Wellington pools.

    The Police Minister has expressed concern -- saying water competency's an important part of police training.

    Police are auditing recent applicants, after recent revelations some who'd failed the entry fitness test were still allowed into the Police College.
