Port of Auckland's price hikes for truck operators will be bigger and come sooner than expected

Port of Auckland's price hikes for truck operators will be bigger and come sooner than expected

It says it's widening the price gap between on-peak and off-peak services to help reduce traffic congestion.

From January, peak access charges for trucks entering the Fergusson Container Terminal will rise from 130-dollars to 180-dollars - five dollars more than first communicated.

Instead of a further increase to 220-dollars from 2027 - the charge will be 230-dollars and come into force in July next year.
