    A moving population's played a role in Auckland's inner suburb property values taking a hit in council's valuations


    They were recently released for properties across the region, and on average residential homes dropped nine percent from 2021 CVs.

    Homes closer to the city centre fell about 13 percent.

    Infometrics Chief Executive Brad Olsen says with lifestyle options like working from home, we're seeing a shift from the city centre.

    He says people are looking for those fringe suburbs, that are away from the hustle of the main centres and have a better lifestyle offering.
