    Access to psilocybin mushrooms for depression may be expanding - with new prescription guidelines


    Only one psychiatrist in the country has been able to prescribe the unapproved medication.

    Associate Health Minister David Seymour says more practitioners will soon be able to prescribe the drug, allowing more people to be helped.

    Medsafe will consider proposals from registered practitioners with experience in psychedelic-assisted therapy, wanting this authority.
